With the objective of bringing the convenience of a bookstore to booklovers in the Damansara suburban area, First Edition Bookstores officially opened for business on 18-December-2003 in the vibrant Damansara Uptown neighbourhood.

Being an independent bookstore, we try to differentiate ourselves by striving to excel in the following areas:-

• While we cater to the mass market selection books, we get sometimes niche books that is featured online;

• Wide-array of imported and local magazines;

• Convenient and extended business hours, and

• Personalised and knowledgeable customer-service.

By focusing on those key areas, we hope to make every book lover's book-shopping experience at First Edition Bookstores pleasant and delightful. In this regard, we're happy and fortunate to enjoy the loyal and generous support of a group of book lovers who really appreciate what we're doing differently.

The extended business hours coupled with our strategic location right in front of the bustling Damansara Uptown food court (which operates till 4:00 am everyday) can only mean three things to booklovers: convenience, convenience, convenience. This is especially so for booklovers who don’t have the time to visit a bookstore in the day or who need something late at night. And most nights, with booklovers still in our premises, we close well beyond 12:00 midnight.
