SYNOPSIS
Five Stars stand for
excellence.
Developed by one of the futures industry's most innovative thinkers, the Five
Star system:
- Makes Big Money ' Manages Risk
- Is 90 percent Objective ' Is Easy to Use
- Works in All Markets
The Five Star system accomplishes five prime objectives:
1. It equals or surpasses on all counts most of the best trading systems
available, including those selling for thousands of dollars.
2. It is at least 90 percent objective and, therefore, non-discretionary.
3. It catches most of the biggest market moves and also filters out most of the
trades in markets subject to whipsaw action.
4. It trades with the direction of dominant market forces and has, therefore,
low vulnerability to self-destruct from widespread use.
5. It is worthy of becoming recognized as a standard authority on how to trade
futures, both for industry and personal traders.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Born in England, Colin Alexander Marquis of La Cerda is publisher of The
Wellspring Futures Newsletter from his base in Ogdensburg, New York. He is the
author of several books, including Capturing Full-trend Profits in the Commodity
Futures Markets.
Educated at Stowe, Magdalen College, Oxford and The Free (that is,
non-communist) University in Berlin, he migrated to Canada in 1963. He has been
an arctic fur trader, a newspaper publisher and a successful commodity futures
broker.
The Cerdas descend from many generations of indolent European aristocrats. They
go back to the elder son of Alfonso X of Spain (called "the wise", and also
known as one of the earliest composers whose music is still played), and to
Louis IX (Saint Louis) of France (and Missouri). The author's great grandfather
was the model for The Leopard, played by Burt Lancaster in the film of the book.
The previous marquis, who died without a direct heir, was the internationally
renowned jewelry designer, and sometime companion of Coco Chanel, Fulco
Santostefano dei Marches! della Cerda, Duke of Verdura. He was always known
simply as Fulco, although the Verdura business survives under that name on New
York's Fifth Avenue.
